I guess you could ask yourself this question, is it more important for you to attend a prestigious school, basically an ivy level school, or is it more important to you that you attend the school that interests you the most. If the former then do Penn ED, you have a higher shot, if the latter then do Stanford EA. I think you can actually do both, as long as Stanford isn’t single choice. If accepted to Penn though, you must withdraw your stanford app.

^Don’t do that. That’s a terrible idea, because what if you get into Stanford and Penn, and you have to choose Penn.

You’re a strong applicant for RD at Penn, follow your dreams. You’ll regret it later, why would you sell yourself short like that?

you dont have to do Penn ED be/c you will definitely stand out during RD.
Do EA to Stanford. Dont lock yourself into Penn when you also love Stanford. That doesnt make sense

If you are going to EA at Stanford it appears that, because of your strong music background, you should consider submitting an Arts Supplement. Stanford appears somewhat unique in that they allow a live audition, as opposed to just a CD, as part of an Arts Supplement. Assuming that it is not already too late to audition as part of EA, this could give you a nice advantage.
