IS the FASFA and the other forms due nov 1? I heard this stuff is due later in like january for regular decision and early action, but I'm not sure about QB.

Also, for common app schools, you don't make an account/can't on the school website? For example, Yale doesn't have a separate account on their website? All forms are sumbitted via the common app? Thanks.

If you mean for the Match round, then yes, everything is due Nov. 1st for the schools you ranked. The date for regular decision this year is Dec. 31st for Yale. Here’s the link for Yale’s QB requirements: httLp://questbridge.org/yale-app-requirements

I’m not sure what you mean about “making an account.” Everything for Yale is submitted through QB, the Common App (and supplement) and CSS. Princeton and Penn, though, do require that you go to their sites and submit materials through their portals (but those are not required by Nov. 1st).

You need to look at the requirements that are listed under the “App Requirements” tab for each school.

I’m doing the match

what are these portals? I always thought you make an account for each school and then submit the stuff?

Penn Financial Aid Supplement (PFAS)
Complete and submit online via the MyPenn Applicant Portal if you are a US citizen or Permanent Resident. To access the Applicant Portal, you will need your login credentials, which the Office of Admissions will send you in early November, after they receive both your QuestBridge Application and the Penn Supplement

Princeton Financial Aid Application
Princeton’s QuestBridge finalists will have online access to the financial aid application. Finalists should complete and submit those applications to the Princeton Financial Aid Office no later than November 10. If a student is matched with Princeton, and has a complete financial aid application, their aid award will be included with their match confirmation in December.

^Also, for recommendations, if we forward our QB app, do we still have to ask for recommendations again? It only states test scores, transcript do not need to be resubmitted…

“If you are admitted to one of our partner colleges through the National College Match, you will be required to submit some additional documents next spring, such as a mid-year school report, a final transcript, a FAFSA, and a copy of your parents’ 2011 federal tax return.”

so is FAFSA due later?

The 2013-14 FAFSA won’t be available until January. Most schools require you to submit CSS, among other documents. I don’t think any require the 2012-13 FAFSA, but I didn’t check them all. Again, a look at the individual school’s app requirements page will answer these questions, and I think I’ve recommended that for the last time. Good luck in the Match.

Thanks for the help!

No school lists the FAFSA as a requirement for the match round, as far as I know.

Upenn asks for the FAFSA.

Also, I have a question about the CSS profile - Questbridge mentioned that the College Board provides some waivers for students when they submit the profile, but does this “activate” as soon as I submit? Or is it a notification of sorts that appears when I try to pay for the fees?
