Urgent help! made a HUGE mistake! :'(

So, I used the 4 free score reports thing ( really stupid decision) and I did bad on one of my subject tests (scored 590) and the score got sent to an ivy league that im applying to im so panicked right now is there anything I can do ANYTHING???
CAN I somehow cancel the score or what can I do?
This qn will probably sound absurd but can I state on the common app that I didn’t take any sat subject tests and then the uni wont look at my sat subject scored I sound so stupid but please tell me if there’s anything I can do

Once you know the score so does the school.

You’re right. That is absurd. To think that they won’t just download all the data and match to the apps.

If you have two or three good scores you are probably fretting about nothing. Colleges know you can have a bad day.

Any college that you identified as a free send in your test registration likely already has the scores since College Board typically sends those electronically to those colleges the day before you get them online. You cannot cancel them and you cannot take them back. The college will match the tests with your application when it arrives, and thus if you now put in your application that you did not take any subject tests you could be rejected for a misrepresentation on your application.

So the answer is no, there is nothing you can do to avoid having the college know the test score. If you have submitted two other subject tests with higher socres to the colleges then most likely the 590 will mean little because typically colleges that require or recommend subject tests use the highest two in determining admission (unless Georgetwon is included in your group, since it wants three SAT subject tests)

@drusba thank you for the reply.

i dont really care about the other schools ive sent it to but im worried about columbia
my chem score was 720 and math 2 was 590 (i took the subject tests bc i thought i wanted to go into engineering but im applying to the college for nueroscience)
i have a 1600 on the SAT

will it affect my app greatly; is there anyway i can inform columbia to not consider the subject scores this sounds so stupid but im so worried

I don’t really think your application will get ruined because of 1 subject exam. As long as your other stats make you stand out, then you’re fine. Remember, sending some of your scores are optional, so you sending a 590 wouldn’t scratch your chances that much.

Don’t worry so much, that is all I can say.

Take it again.
