I am an Undergraduate student from Kingston University, in London, The United Kingdom.
I successfully managed to obtain a study abroad placement with California State University, however I am very confused with the number of campuses!

I am studying a major in "International Business", so which campus would be most suitable for a business-related subject?

I do also want to consider the area, such as convenience to shops, the beach, climate, social life, the people. Many many thanks!

The top Cal State is generally considered Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. While near the beach, it’s not very warm, and not that easy to get to (from major airports). Thus, I’d recommend Cal State San Diego, or Cal State Long Beach.

Consider San Francisco State University, or even San Jose State University would be good choices – nice campuses next to urban attractions, as well as airports.

Keep in mind that Los Angeles is a very big place and even for a study abroad term or two, you might have quite a difficult time without a car. To say the public transportation in LA is not very user friendly would be an understatement.

Ooops, forgot to include that the best “reputations” for business majors would include San Diego State, San Francisco State, Cal Poly Pomona and Long Beach.

I do like the sound and look of Long beach, but alot of people have told me its abit ‘ghetto’?
Ill consider researching San Francisco and San Jose. How is the transport in these areas?

I do have a drivers license, but I’m sure even a half decent car would be costly etc?

SJSU is about 1.5 miles from San Jose Diridon CalTrain. A VTA light rail train is available if you do not want to walk it. There should also be buses.

Not sure I’d concur, since nearly all undergrad business is local. (SF State essentially is unheard of in SoCal, for example.) But regardless, the OP will be living on campus, and IMO, should attend a campus with fewer commuters, as opposed to more (which narrows the list rapidly, since most Cal States are primarily commuter schools).

None of the Cal States will offer a degree that will be perceived as ‘prestigious’ internationally. Thus, pedigree really becomes a non-factor. IMO, the decision then becomes more a good place to live and explore for a year.

It may be a personal thing, but I’e driven by Cal State Long Beach (‘The Beach’) many times and never considered it a 'ghetto".

Unfortunately the LA campus is not available for study abroad this year. I have a small choice of:
Bakersfield
Chico
Fullerton
Humboldt
Pomona *
Sacramento
San Bernadino
San Francisco
San Jose
Sonoma

Need really quick help to submit my application within two hours!!
Thanks again guyss
