I'm currently in 7th grade (I'm 13), and I'm just wondering if it would still be possible to transfer to Hogwarts at this point in the admission cycle. I think I show significant signs of magical potential.

-I got a 99 on all sections of the SSAT, guessing correctly 133 times.
-I was once playing ping pong, and the ball suddenly grew wings and flew away.
-I have a scar above my eye (although it's the left one).
-When I visit my grandfather's farm, I converse with various species of fowl.

Might the admissions office be swayed by my career plan to be an herbologist (specialising in wart treatment)?

Also, I am Asian-American. Will that help my chances for admission? I think Asians are an underrepresented minority in the Hogwarts community.

One more thing; how generous is Hogwarts in terms of financial aid? I think I'd need at least partial FA. Do they cover airfare from the US to Britain?

Thanks a lot!!!!! Please respond ASAP; I wouldn't want to wait another year!

I believe they only take 11 year olds at 6th grade, but it’s worth a try.
As for FA, I’m not sure but I don’t think they help very often. Fees are quite low and most extras are available 2nd hand.

It is worth a try. I encourage you to write a letter to the current headmaster. I think you’ll qualify for a spot at Hogwarts. It seems your magic is showing quite late and after sending your letter, I am confidence you would receive an acceptance letter right away.
P.s. I’m friends with Professor Mcgonagall

My DS got FA but we had to prove that he had been living under the stairs for over a year.

I’ve heard, though, that there are always spots open if you are an underwater Keeper player. And if you are good with the Dark Tuba Arts, that’s even better.

Good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favor. Wait…

I am an asian and I got waitlisted (and eventually rejected) by Hogwarts 6 years ago. It was one of my most calamitous moments in life. I wish all the best for you.

Don’t stress yourself. After all, you can never be certain with Hogwarts… They after all, have one digit acceptance rate. Anyways there are many schools where you can study magic and become an amazing wizard. I’m sure you’ll find an owl that fits you best.
Wish you good lick!
