*URGENT* Hogwarts Admission Situation!!!

It’s worth mentioning that UK schools don’t care at all what ethnicity you are. You don’t have a better chance being a URM but being American may help!

My son and my neighbor girl have been waiting for the owl post ever since they turned eleven.

We already had an interview at the local admission office at the Wizarding World at Orlando surviving Forbidden Journey ride. Butter beer tasted real good. We already got school spirit items. Perhaps replica of Voldmort’s wand wasn’t such a good choice. Should have gotten a copy of Harry’s.

If admitted we could domesticate the owl that hoots all night from our roof. It did attack several neighborhood cats though. I hope one of them was not Prof. McGonagal.
That could explain why our letters haven’t arrived yet.

Yeah my cat is be sties with Prof. McGonnagol, but unfortunately no letter yet :frowning: However, my mailbox has been quite stuffed lately…maybe I’ll look into it!

In the Harry Potter franchise, muggles are unaware of the existence of Hogwarts or wizardry in general. So, by virtue of being on this thread which acknowledges Hogwarts’ existence, we must not be muggles and are therefor all in possession of magical abilities. We should all be getting our owl-delivered letters very soon!

@BlueUkiyo Good point! Even though I’m 12 I haven’t gotten my Hogwarts letter yet.

I suppose my letter is being ferreted across Antarctica, which would explain the two year delay. I hope they have rolling admissions! ;)

Some muggles are aware of wizardry – Aunt Petunia was. She jealously hated her sister for it.

Anyway, THAT wasn’t the point of my post, the point of my post was this…

I was just offered a TEACHING position – muggle history!

MomThree, I might see you there! I’ve been tracking my owl for a year now; I am especially interested in the Illusions courses Hogwarts offers…

GoldenRatio - I thought you had settled on Choate…are you in the Hogwarts waitpool?

@MomThree: Well…it’s complicated. I have my eye out on their summer programs, you see. I fervently hope that you are going to teach during the summer!

Haha my application was pitiful…i was not even graced with a howler for a rejection. Forever awaiting a reply….just me and my automatic hw-doing magic skills ;)

haha I wish!

My illusion skills are the most promising so far…“accomplishing” homework instantaneously is something I will definitely have to try!

haha you could always give the “illusion” that your blank hw is filled out!
haha I have yet to accomplish the simple art of levitation though…that one could come in very handy!

Levitation is something I struggle with, too! Just think of all you could do with that—

haha I can see myself using it to conquer any problems I ever have due to begin vertically challenged (aka short  )

alchemy would also be quite useful…though I doubt that its permitted at hogwarts anyway :(

Ha! I just decided that when (I’m being very optimistic here) I get the letter, the first thing I’m going to do it contact them about starting an alchemy class!!

I think my username is quite fitting for an alchemist (to allude to someone’s post in another thread.) It’s a class that I would go to, for sure.

I’m quite short, too! Shorties unite! :D

P.S. Did you apply for rolling admissions? Those are quite rough. Good luck!

Haha I was referring to actually my own alchemy post about 10 minutes ago;)

My old phone wallpaper used to be “I’m to short-I’m fun sized!” haha totally :)

I should’ve applied for rolling admissions although unfortunately magic was still new to me at the time of application. I set the app sheets on fire (mwahaha) and I had to apply as a regular admit. oh well… what about you?
Good luck to you as well!

I applied to a summer program two years back, and still haven’t gotten a letter yet. I think my owl got lost along the way. Actually, I know it has; I’ve been tracking it as it flies over the South Pole. Owls! scoffs

I used to have a shirt that said “I’m not short—I’m fun sized!” stamped over the front. It was my favorite shirt. :)

haha I wasn’t aware of the summer program! I’m totally going to go look that up!

I don’t even have an owl! I borrowed a friend’s…unfortunately that owl never came back. She’s probably wondering what happened to it. You see, she actually is a Hogwarts student! I’m still pretty curious as to where that owl went…

You should track it. There’s a feature on Hogwart’s website that lets you see some of the class material; I distinctly remember seeing a Tracking spell on one of the rudimentary courses.

Hogwart’s Summer Program is very new, and it’s still relatively unknown.
