[URGENT] need to make a decision

Hi everyone
I need some guidance and feedback on this please!

I’ve always been interested in architecture but somehow landed in another field
I finished my first year as computer science major, did not like it at all.. so I tried to transfer to the faculty of eng and got accepted in the civil eng program.
Also I applied to an “interior architecture” program in my university, Got accepted in this one too!
So I’m kind of in a dilemma, should I double major in CS and interior arch? Or switch to civil eng? Or continue with my major and apply to M.arch later on?
My goal is to become a “designer”, building designer in particularly, I just love the idea of designing buildings and landscapes too, Interiors are fine but I would feel bad if I was stuck with interiors only..
Unfortunately I applied once last year to the Arch program but I wasn’t accepted in the college of my choice, and I can’t afford other universities at all
I really need some guidance in this, I’m not sure which path I should follow
How important is it to become a licensed architect?
oh excuse my English I don’t live in the states

Please help me this is urgent, I have to make a decision in 2 days :/

Is this forum dead or something?! I kind of regret posting in here

I would double major if and only if I know that I would dedicate myself to both majors. If you like one major over the other, it might be difficult balancing a double major. Try looking into both majors to see which one best suits you, because as far as I know, interior architecture works very closely with interiors.

Jayda, I would do the engineering major and get your MArch afterwards. Coming from computer science and engineering I don’t think interior design is going to do it for you.

rick

Actually, interior design is closely linked with architecture. Architects are cerified interior designers an well, and work very closely with other interior designers in each project they undertake. Thus, an interior designer is almost like a sub-position of an architect. However, as an interior architect, the link may or may not be stronger.
