I am currently completing my first year of architecture. What an awakening I received. It demands soooooo much time and my professor is so difficult. So anyway, after experiencing the all nighters, rushing to complete projects, and the stress from architecture, i've decided that i am not willing to endure 4 more years of it even though i am doing well in the program. Although i like architecture, i dont think i want it to 'control' my life because i dont have time to go out, or even do my other homework and study for tests. It's too much on me and I admire those individuals who have their architecture degrees. I have no idea what else i want to do though, so is there anyone out there who started architecture and switched there major? what did you switch to? did you ever regret it?

i have heard that a typical career change is from architecture to civil engineering, but i am only a senior, so take what you can from it.

cool, i was thinking about civil engineering. My dad suggested for me to take it before i started architecture. I guess i need to talk to a civil engineer. I kno engineering majors are difficult as well, but at least i should have more time for a life. I dont mind working hard for like my last 2 years of college, but i cant deal with it for the full 4 years. Im afraid to see the quality of my work in all classes drop as i progress
