URGENT Non-Custodial Parent Form/UChicago/CSS

<p>The UChicago has a supplemental form section to it's financial aid fax cover sheet.
How do I know if I need a non-custodial parent waiver or petition?
Will the CSS profile tell me? My parents are separated and the one I don't live with hardly pays child support.
Am I supposed to file for something in CSS or UChicago due to their separation?
How does my parents separation factor into the CSS profile? Does my non-custodial parent need to enter any financial info?
The UChicago wants a non-custodial profile for separated parents, do I need to check anything off in the supplemental section of the cover sheet?
Here's the cover sheet:

<p>I’ll try to help. If U of Chicago requires the non-custodial Profile, your non-custodial parent is required to complete it. Your custodial parent completes the Profile and puts all of their financial info on that form…and your non-custodial parent completes the NCP Profile and puts all of their financial info on the NCP form. No, your custodial parent profile will not tell you if you need a waiver. If you feel you need a waiver for the NCP form YOU apply for it with each college. To be honest, what you posted so far doesn’t imply that you would be granted this waiver. A NCP waiver isnt granted just because parents are separated or divorced. It is granted to students who have no contact with their non-custodial parent, or have absolutely no way of contacting or locating said parent. It is NOT granted simply because a NCP doesn’t always pay child support.</p>

<p>SO…complete the Profile. Then ask your non-custodial parent to complete the NCP Profile.</p>

<p>Thank you! Also, do you know if my NCP needs to turn in the 2011/12 Income Tax return forms?</p>

<p>My D applied (and was accepted EA) to U of Chicago. Her NCP did have to supply 2011 tax forms, and will supply 2012 tax forms when they are ready.</p>
