I need to make a decision within a few days but I’m struggling. I’m premed and going to major in neuroscience. Northeastern has the coop program, and I have a $25,000k annual scholarship. I got a $10k scholarship from Pitt (and im in-state), and no money from UVA, but money isn’t a huge factor. Getting into medical school is my main concern. I’m worried that if I go to UVA, I won’t have enough opportunities to gain the internships and experience I need to stand out as a med school applicant. Pitt and Northeastern both have the city to find these opportunities (and I’ve always imagined myself going to school in the city), but their names aren’t as big as UVA’s. Also, Pitt is a lot larger, so won’t it be a lot harder to stand out to professors? Is it possible/easy to get “coop” type opportunities like they have at Northeastern at these other universities? If anyone has any insight, it would be greatly appreciated!
Wow, I am in the exact same situation as you. If someone could provide some insight that would be great!!
What’s your total cost of attendance (your out of pocket after scholarships) for each?
