Hi, so I just finished the AP Government test, but on the first question, I forgot to write my ID and initials at the top of my response (I am pretty sure I got a 5 otherwise). I have called collegeboard but they aren’t responding and I have been on hold for a long time. Will my scores be cancelled? What should I do??? Should I email collegeboard a copy of my response (copied verbatim) and my initials/ID so they can match it to me?
edit: redacted; this post was a clarification to the OP before I knew you could edit posts
Did you fill out all the pre-test demographic info? I would think it would be linked. Stay on hold, though, if you can to be sure.
Yeah, I filled out all the info.
This exact thing happened to me. I spent over 75 hours preparing for this exam and I’m so upset right now. I’ve been on hold with CB for 44:34.
I finally got off hold and the employee at the call center said that she’ll file a case (whatever that means) and that I’ll be emailed by Collegeboard in a few days. I forgot to ask her if my question 1 will still get graded but I think it will (since the test is taken online, they can figure out who submitted what, right?). I’m still kind of worried though, but @above, chances are everything will turn out ok.
When you were calling what number did you press and how long were you on hold for?
On Twitter, Trevor Packer (the VP for the AP at the college board) is saying this:
“The most frequent question after today’s AP U.S. Government and Politics exam: I forgot to write my AP ID or initials at the top of each page. Do I have to request a make-up? The answer: No, we can score your work even without that helpful info.” Search on twitter for AP Trevor.
