I don't have an answer, but I do have a similar question. I noticed a spot for 'midyear report'. I haven't sent one, because my midyear grades don't come out until next week! Is it worth faxing the grades when I get back to school? Won't they have already made a decision by then? It seems irresponsible, but there's seriously nothing I can do for another week, my grades haven't been released by the school.

I just checked my acdata page, and there is now a spot for "Final High School Transcript" there, too! I think that the "Placement Tests" section was there before, though...I wonder if this means anything?

i am 100% sure the final hs transcript box was there since the beginning. I remember the first time i checked way back, i thought that box was a bit odd. also, the placement test box was there. it seems that amherst's policy is to include a box for every possible requirement, even the TOEFL/Final Transcript/ACT/SAT, etc and "waive" it if not required for a specific student.

Agreed. All the schools son applied to have spots for Final Year transcripts. Basically, it's to make sure you didn't either drop out of HS as soon as you got your acceptance and so it's proof that you graduated :) or confirmation of grades to make sure you didn't fail so miserably that they will want to rescind your admission.

I was worried about this too, but my college counselor confirmed that the Final Year transcript is the transcript that you receive in June. I'm not sure how long you keep the Amherst account, but it's at least long enough for you to be accepted and confirm that the school received your final transcript.

Yes, there is reason to be concerned. However, they went to committee at Amherst on 3/2 to start making decisions, so it is probably too late now. There is of course the possibility that the admissions office received your midyear report, filed it with your folder, and did not bother marking it on your online status report.

I had to call both Amherst and Northeastern when my Midyear report wasn't labeled as "received," and it turned out that both schools had actually received it without updating my account. I guess it wouldn't hurt to call just to check...but if they really haven't gotten it, it probably is too late by now :/

Oh, congrats! In that case, it certainly doesn't affect admissions anymore...I have no idea when ED acceptances are supposed to send in Midyear reports, etc.

Haha, thanks! Yeah, for some reason I highly doubt they'll rescind my acceptance if they didn't get it, I just don't want them to send me a letter telling me how much I suck for not sending it in.
