URGENT-really scared

I gave SAT this jan and ended up with low scores and even sent those scores (using free score reporting) to few colleges (MIT, UCB, UT-Austin and Cornell). My scores don’t meet their admission criteria and over the time I have realized, that I am more of an ACT guy than SAT. I will give ACT this year and I am pretty much confident that I will be able to get a score greater than 30 on ACT.
Now my question is, if I send those good ACT scores to the same colleges where I sent these terrible SAT scores, how will they interpret my scores, do they look only at SAT score (which was sent first)? or only at ACT score (which is better)? or both the scores? If they look at both the scores, what will be my chances of getting rejected on the basis of SAT scores?
Please reply, I am really scared.
Thank you

They know you may improve. Even with your lesser scores, your higher ones will have the main impact. Your chances of getting rejected are fantastic as soon as you hit the submit button – just like everyone else.

You’ll be fine  Don’t worry about it, do your best on the ACT. I think colleges get a lot of reports from future applicants, and they get it.

Good luck!

Thank you everyone for reply. You guys have put my mind at ease!

I am also planning to take SAT subject tests (Math-2, Phy. and Chem.) this May. Can anyone please tell me that do colleges which require SAT subject test only look at SAT I scores? If I send ACT (writing) scores to such colleges, what would be their combination for admission criteria i.e. will they look at SAT I (already sent) + SAT subject tests or will they look at ACT (writing) + SAT subject tests or at any other combination?
Thanks, any reply would be appreciated!

Most will take ACT and SAT subject tests; you don’t have to submit the SAT score. A few will want all SAT scores if you send any (Cornell, Penn, Yale).

I have already sent SAT scores as mentioned in the thread

For Cornell, they will use the score that best represents you, meaning they will generally look at your best scores. They do not participate in the College Board Score Choice, so you need to send all SATs you take, you can’t pick and choose. They don’t use the writing score on SAT or ACT. Send all SAT II scores.
