Urgent: SAT Scores

exactly how long does it take for school to receive your sat scores? i know it says 3-5 weeks, but some ppl say it takes days?

They're wrong. Check collegeboard.com and they can give you an exact date of when your scores will be in.

If you just took the test, then I'd assume that the school will get it whenever you get it. If you're sending scores from a test you took a while back, (this is my experience with ACT, so I'm not sure if SAT does this) you can call SAT and give them your info, and they can tell you if your score has been processed, sent, and so on.

i'm so confused because on the penn state website, it says that i don't need to "rush" my scores b/c they get scores on a weekly basis. Is that for other colleges too?

Yeah, if the scores are available, they get send to the colleges pretty quickly.

No, it's only for Penn. Colleges get to choose how often they recieve scores from students that send them. When SAT sends your score, the college will recieve it along with everone else that sent it around the same time as you. Some colleges recieve scores every week, others twice every month. It varies.

I'd say you'll be fine if you get them sent by ~Dec 10 - but imo you should wrap that up by the end of this month. Next couple days for me to get my last sent.

(assuming Jan deadline)

i have deadlines for like nov.30
