<p>On the application website it tells me to send in a copy of my green card to their mailing address. Can we scan and email it instead or must it be by mail? And if the latter, do I have to send it in by the November 1st deadline too? I mean, I could probably mail it tomorrow right away, but just in case.

<p>Since the application instructions say to mail it, that is probably what i would do. Are you concerned that it might get lost in the mail or are you just trying to get it to them quicker? i doubt that not having a copy of your green card on Nov 1 will hold up the processing of your application. I saw an old blog on the MIT website that said fax is the best way to send documents (<a href=“Missing Documents Due Monday | MIT Admissions”>a | MIT Admissions). You could call admissions and ask if you can email or fax it to them.</p>
