Ok... which do you think would make a better essay? talking about the math behind solving a rubik's cube or about quantum mechanics and why it's interessting to me?

I'd like to help but I don't really know what quantum mechanics even is. Personally, I would pick the rubik's cube one, it sounds like it would be more fun to read.

It sounds almost like you're trying to prove your intelligence in your essay. Unless quantum mechanics is your planned field of study and you have devoted a significant portion of your time to it, try talking about something that reveals more about you as a person rather than you as a student. It will put a person with your essay and give your application depth.

I'm not sure, but I certainly would be interested in knowing a few math tricks to solving that darned rubik's cube!

thanks =) yeah for the quantum mechanics one I was going to relate it to Harry Potter and make it humourous... but if the rubik's cube one would be more interesting then I'll do it.

well gosh, now I would say that HP would be far more interesting than a rubik's cube.

The better essay will be the one that is more personal, detailed, honest and revealing about you.

Harry Potter and Quantum Mechanics?!?! Who are you, my twin? Please write an essay relating the two of those in a funny way... The world needs that to be written.
