URL's in your Essays?

I am starting an organization that I intend to write about in my essays. The organization is heavily internet based and I think an adcom would benefit greatly if they could see the organization’s website, if for nothing other than to see the degree of proffessionalism and time commitment. Is it wise to include a URL in the essay? And would an adcom even look at it?

Since the adcom is going to be reading your essay as a hard copy and the number of essays that they read, I seriously doubt that they wil have the time to actually log on to your site, but you never know.

what schools are you applying to?

Stanford SCEA, then MIT, Rice, Columbia, Princeton, and UT (safety) RD.

You could place an asterick (sp?) next to the name of the website when you mention it in your essay and then have the URL on the bottom of the page. It would look really techincal and random if you put it in the middle of a paragraph.

Yeah, that's a good point. I'll either do that or put it in with the information on the EC list.
