How much does being a URM factor into law school admissions? I have a 3.6 GPA and LSAT of 170, also a AA woman.

Enjoy Harvard!

AA as in Alcoholics Anonymous? If so you probably shouldn’t tell them…

But yeah, you have a good shot at the very best law schools. You’d be in even better shape if your GPA was higher, but you should be able to get into a school in the “top 10”.

The URM boost is substantial. Your chances at HYS are good. You should be in at CCN (maybe with $$).

Only if AA means African-American. I say that only because some Asian Americans think they are URMs; they aren’t.

“Only if AA means African-American. I say that only because some Asian Americans think they are URMs; they aren’t.”

Of course AA refers to African-American. I doubt that any Asian Americans looking at top law schools would believe that they qualify for URM; it’s more ridiculous than white applicants believing that they would get URM boosts.
