URM/Undergrad factor

How much does being a URM/the quality of your undergrad school factor in when applying to law school. I am a philosophy major with a 3.6 gpa at columbia university, I am a varsity athlete, a urm (latino), and averaged 172 on my last few practice lsats. Where should I even be looking?

T14.

Harvard. You make that 172 a 175+ and you’re golden. I got into T6 with a 164, also Latino.

I think the OP has a good shot at Harvard with a 170.

blanket the T14, and/or even a few schools lower where you would likely receive full/near full tuition discounts.

Don’t settle for anything less thatn Harvard / Yale / Stanford.
Unless you have a HUGE desire to be in NYC, then apply also to NYU/Columbia

If you look at the website law school numbers, you can see that people who attended Ivies for undergrad get a boost.

@potatopanckaes: Re “don’t settle for anything less than HYS”, what if CCN gives him full tuition for 3 years?
