URochester vs. Villanova?

ive heard great things about these schools...

which is harder to get into?
please compare in terms of prestige/campus life/ town life, and any additional comments or facts you may have..

thank you!

Rochester is all around a better school.

why do you say that Rochester is a better all around school, bobbo?

Because they are top notch in a ton of fields, noticeably economics, history, music, BME and poli sci.

I just think that academically it is a better school than Villanova.

Plus the fact that Villanova is full of japs from NY and NJ.

if im planning to major in biology, which school would be better for me?

ROchester any day...

If I were you I would pick Villanova.. Rochester is just blahh

chibifry, how is rochester "blahh"?

For bio, U of Rochester has a much stronger program with many resources.

Cause Rochester is blahh.. the location is blahh

Rochester has an excellent biology program. The program is enhanced by the adjacent hospital, medical, medical research center, and bioengineering. The city of Rochester has plenty to offer in the way of theater, music, art, restaurants, recreation.

I'd Choose Villanova. It gets overlooked alot and its underranked; its not part of the national university rankings of USNews because the highest degree it offers is Masters. Yet in its Category of Masters Universitys north; Villanova is #1. Anyways, the academics are overall good/decent, and it is about half an hour or less from Philadalphea, which offers much more to do than Rochester. Plus, Villanova has the Wildcats, a great basketball team. I'd imagine one could have more fun at Villanova, and i dont think there is such a huge disparity in academic quality.

Rochester the better school, but Villanova seems more fun.

Rochester has the Yellowjackets, D3 Men's finalist in hoops last year. Not as good the past season, most of their talent received their degrees...

I don't know much about Villanova. As for Rochester, it is definitely a good school. Their acceptance rates to graduate schools are very high!

Isn't Rochester's Lax team good?
