<p>For the US History AP DBQ, are you supposed to refer directly to each document; example "As shown in Document B, the stamp act..." or are us supposed to just right a normal essay that incorportates all the facts shown in the documents?</p>
<p>I would not put Document B and such. For example, if the title of the document was the Federalist papers, then i would just say in the federalist papers blahblahblahbahl...</p>
<p>What you want to do is summarize the main/major points you want to make based upon the document. I've never been a reader but it's my understanding that the readers are extremely well versed on the documents and are well aware of what they contain. You can "tag" the docs you use if you want. Simply make your point and when you have done so at the end put (Doc A) in parentheses or you could simply put (A). It isn't required to tag documents and perhaps not even necessary but it doesn't hurt anything either.</p>
