So I'm taking 3 subject tests in October. I am taking American History online in the summer (I live in Canada and my school doesn't offer it in school) and I want to take the US History Subject Test. I am probably going to take one of these two combinations:

Math II, Biology, US History

OR

Math II, Biology, Chemistry

What I want to know is whether US History can be prepared for out of just prep books, or if a high school course is required. The course I'm taking will be completed in a month, so I don't know how deep they will go into the subject.

Thanks for any help!

If you want to know which one is easier to study on your own, it will be US History. It’s all about memorizing facts, which you don’t really need in-class instruction for. Chemistry, on the other hand, is something you should probably try to take in school.

I’ve taken Chemistry in school, but it was last semester. It’s just US History that I haven’t taken in school…

I had Biology this past semester (Grade 11 Bio). Is the subject test for Biology difficult, or is it essentially memorizing facts as well?

have you taken AP level chemistry or biology? If you haven’t, then go ahead and start preparing for USH. If they were AP classes, you should pick between bio and chem. And yes, biology is more centered around memorization.

My school doesn’t have any AP classes, they’re pretty rare in Canadian schools. I’ll most likely take USH, Biology, and Math II. Thanks for your help :)
