us history vs. bio

Here's my situation:

I'm going to be a senior in the fall and am currently trying to choose between us history and bio for my 3rd subject test. I took both classes during my sophomore year and got A's, but I'm rusty on both topics. I'm planning to self-study whichever one I end up choosing.
Any suggestions?
Has anyone taken both and done better on one than the other?
Is one easier to self-study than the other?
Does one require less memorization?
Any other thoughts?

I personally have not taken the Bio SAT II, but I can tell you about USH. First of all, do not expect questions that you would normally encounter in an APUSH exam. SAT II US History is far more detail based, and if you're not someone who memorizes detail, you will not do well. When I took the SAT II USH (after getting a 5 on the AP), I ended up canceling my score because I knew I did terribly. Instead, I took SAT II Chemistry, which I found far easier.

In terms of preparation, I think the material that you need to study for Biology is far more limited than the material for US History. So I would recommend taking SAT II Biology.

The SAT II Biology is one of the hardest tests offered. Do not take it unless you have had an absolutely amazing Honors Biology class or a half-decent AP Biology class.

I took the SAT II biology test, and I was in AP Bio my sophomore year but I have a passion for science, and I can say yes it was challenge and I wont sugarcoat it I will say it was hella challenging but I scored a 720 on it! Which is decent I guess...

I took the U.S. History subject test before I took the AP etst. I got a 720 on the subject test in May and a 4 on the AP test.

I would say that the U.S. History would be better to take unless you're a science person. I took APBio and got a 3.

I'd say take the US Hist. Unless you're really interested in Bio, or you're going to take a SAT prep course, stay away from it. Most of the people in my school actually did pretty well on it, but that's because I have tons of nerdy "WE LOVE SCIENCE" people in my school. Take US Hist instead.

Generally it goes...if you have taken the AP and done well then go for the SAT II. Should really be the other way round but that's life.

I took the USH and got a 790, but the questions were really odd. Very detailed to very broad, jumping round...many of my friends in APUSH scored sub-700.

I don't know about Bio but I have heard it has one of the harder curves. I am self studying the subject at the moment for the fall and am feeling pretty good about it. Compared to USH I would rather self study Bio like I am doing now because Bio is full of concepts rather than just plain old facts.

Then again it depends what you are into...
