US history-very specific

I just read through the Kaplan's prep book and...my score did not increase at all. I admit I read it through pretty fast, but the problem is that there's so much specific questions like about certain authors, acts, gov agencies, etc. I basically get all the general questions right, but is there a good way to study for the specifics?

Will the AP US history cram packet?

Thanks.

read through your prep book carefully and makes notes or something. skimming it won't help. cram packet won't help either sorry. there's just so much info that isn't explain enough so that you won't remember it or know anything about it. good luck and study!

if you want a five on history, use a textbook, don't use a prep book. best one is America: A Narrative History by Tindall and Shi

this is the history subject test not the AP exam. you don't have time to read a textbook by now lol. read your review book and go over your incorrect answers!

well I took APUS, read that, AP review book, and Kaplan subject book. But my point was that I get all the general questions correct, which was like the AP test. But the subject tests asks about all these specific angencies and books etc that I don't see how I could know completely unless I memorize something like the cram packet..

so you guys dont think the CRAM PACKET will do much good for the subject test? (i also have all my additional notes for when i was studying for APUSH)

thats what i was plannin on studying.

i also have a barrons prep book but i wasnt really plannin on using it saying that im pretty much starting to study now (i did just have the AP test tho)
