The website has changed. The content, and the aesthetic feel as well. They seem to "summarize" the school more now instead of "critiquing" it. Also gone is the "tier 1, 2, 3" indicator that usually sits below the numerical ranking of the school. That caught my eyes.

As a Houston native, I've kept my eye on the University of Houston for quite some time now, along with other Texas schools, such as Texas Tech. As soon as they announced their "strategic" plan to become tier 1, Texas Tech magically jumped from a tier 3 to tier 1 school, and UH from tier 4 to tier 2 in less than a year, although hardly any substantial improvements have been made to the school itself. US News and Report also increased the interval of what they considered tier 1, as now tier 1 schools are ranking as high as 191.

Any thoughts?
