US News engineering ranks for 2008?

i cannot find the threads....can someone point me in the right direction

its a sticky in the engineering board.

For overall engineering or for specific engineering specialties?

They're both there.

ok thank you!

what's the difference with those ranks and these: USNews.com: America's Best Graduate Schools 2008: Top Engineering Schools

because USC is ranked #7 in latter and like #19 or 29 in the sticked ones....

The USNews page you linked is for graduate school, while the stickied page in the engineering forums is for undergraduate.

^^i don't put much stock into overall engineering ranking when it comes to graduate ranking. as an engineer who went to grad school, i'd suggest you to go by departmental ranking instead if you care about rankings. this is the one that's much more consistent to general consensus. if you look at the individual ranking, USC pretty much has no department in the top-10. the disconnect stems from the silly methodology they used to general the overall ranking.
