Each year, U.S. News and World Report comes out with a ranking of the 100 best jobs in the nation, based on important factors like the number of expected openings, advancement opportunities, career fulfillment, and salary expectations. Being a lawyer is now a second-tier career. How embarrassing.</p>

<p>What’s even more embarrassing? The list of jobs that are supposedly better than being a lawyer. Why did you spend all of that money on a law degree when you could’ve just gone to beauty school?</p>

<p>How about this; The US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reports manicurists and pedicurists making $19,000 per year as compared to $113,000 made by lawyers. Hey they may be miserable, but they’re “richly miserable”.</p>

<p>The same survey ranks physicians on the sixth spot in the healthcare category, just behind physical therapist and one spot ahead of dental hygienist. That should put some perspective on this ranking survey. </p>
