<p>I have an older US News College guide (3or 4 years) and then Stonehill was number 1 in Baccalaureate with great numbers. When they moved to Liberal Arts catagory, they dropped, obviously in a much larger group, and weren't judged the same, although the school really hadn't changed.
Can the admission rep explain why the switch, was it Saint Joe's choice or does US News do that on their own? (I've heard both)</p>
<p>That said, I don't put them in very high regard, but it shows how ratings can vary, and not always be easy to understand.

I meant Stonehill with the switch but also wondered what made some colleges with masters programs in the masters catagory and some in the National or Liberal Arts.</p>
<p>I think St. Joe’s in a great college and hope to visit in the near future. My daughter thinks she would like accounting and it seems St. Joe’s has a nice program.</p>
<p>Ha ha, I understand. Understanding those college rankings is no easy task. I can’t make any claims to fully understanding them, especially with all the different categories of schools.<br>
Good to hear you’re interested in SJU and plan to visit. Accounting is certainly a great major at SJU, and being in Philadelphia offers a lot of opportunities to pair some experience(internships, co-op program) with the degree.</p>
