US News rankings?

I think what the "nerds" would be all over you for is your stereotyping. Not everyone that applies to HYP is a nerd...we have lives...and we all mispell once in a while. Who cares? I think the "you nerds" thing is what could **** some people off more than you're typo.

Just a thought.

P.S. Yes...The UCLA basketball team is amazing.

Yeah we all do "mispell". Just kidding big playa. I apologize for the nerd comment

UPenn will never storm the gates like that.

well, there is a RUMOR on another website that it has tied with Yale. I doubt it as well, but you won't know until the 18th or so.

we're talking about the ranking to be release later this week, not last years which is currently posted.

What factor could have actually boosted Penn that much that they would be audacious enough to tie it with Yale?

Oh, okay. It would not be the first time that Harvard came second to Princeton.

Zuckerman?

For those of you who can't contain your curiosity any longer, there's a reliable sounding leak of this year's rankings elsewhere on CC:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=226556

The person who posted them obtained these from identical source

Also, supposedly that list is a hoax.

a hoax... which you repeatedly posted on multiple fora.

Please refer to the post datings, the lists posted by me are accurate
http://s89.photobucket.com/albums/k226/calidan87/?action=view&current=usnews.jpg&refPage=&imgAnch=imgAnch1

Yep, that's the picture I scanned. I got the new edition yesterday at Barnes and Noble. Harvard is indeed ranked 2nd along with Yale, and Princeton is 1st.

It's not a hoax, I actually have the rankings. Check this other thread for more info (or simply check the picture album above).

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=227117

hmmmm.... your original post had yale #3. Now its #2?

Thanks for the new scan - it looks credible

looks like yale got burned on mispredicting its graduation rate and faculty resources. Ahh, whatever...

Yeah forget whatever I said and look at the pic- I'm bound to mess something up. Those are the real rankings, so nevermind if I say something different.

By far the best part of this ranking is the rise of UChicago, an institution well deserved of a top 10 spot.

Amen .

I agree, except I was not aware a university could change so much in a year!

note sarcasm ;)

(Just FYI- this is a crack at USNEWS, not Chicago)
