When comparing Fordham U. (ranked 68 in nationals) and Villanova (#1- north masters) which is the better ranking ?

Villanova is far better then Fordham.
Villanova has some of the best programs in the country and is only on the rise. Fordham on the other hand has reached its peak. Also, if you look at the statistics of students at the two school, it is aparent that VU students are far better.

I disagree. While Villanova may be a better ranked school, I for one would MUCH rather go to Fordham anyday...countless opportunities in Manhattan and the EC opps far outweigh the academic advantages for Villanova (for me at least).

I always thought they were pretty close in stats. When you compare them on a sight like USNews, most of the things are close or the same.Fordham actually took fewer students I think. My son liked N.York better and not having frats, but it's a personal decision based on your personality. I can't predict the future, but Fordham is rising in the ranks and a lot of these "rankers" say it's going to become more competitive as the years go by. It wouldn't surprise me.
