@veggylover On the collegeboard site, view your ap scores. There’s an option top right to download the score report as a PDF and you can print it from there
What the hell, I just found out about this and I wasn’t nominated. I got a 36 on my ACT and have a 3.98 UW and a 4.9 weighted GPA.
I’m president of my school’s Model UN program and write the political column in the student newspaper. I’m already accepted to study International Relations at CMC next year and this is an INSANE opportunity that I would’ve loved to have a shot at.
My school had 9 perfect ACTs and the administration or whoever only nominated one person who has no interest in politics. What the heck? I’m outraged right now.
@staygold111: That worked. Thank you!!! Now, do you know if mailing them is okay, or is there a way to send them electronically? We couldn’t find a code for US Presidential Scholars Program to send to.
@veggylover- No problem. You’re supposed to mail them with the transcript and other docs.
@HSAnon1997 I thought if you reach their criterias then you will be automatically in and one school can have more than one candidates. I maybe wrong.
@veggylover My son GC submitted the APs, SAT score, transcripts, and LR for him on line. My understanding is you can either mail them or submitting on line.
@HSAnon1997 - @2562ivy is correct. D’s school has 7-8 candidates.
The thing is my son’s school does not have his AP scores. His GC gave him an UNSEALED envelope with his transcript and SAT scores. He was told to print out the AP scores and add this to the envelope. Aren’t these envelopes supposed to be sealed by the school? I will have to ask them to do that on Monday.
@FromMD: That is A LOT of candidates!! It must be an amazing school. My son’s school has only two.
@veggylover I think/hope that’s okay, because it’s what I did. I was given a transcript and I just sent the rest of the stuff myself (in the same envelope).
@veggylover - I’d ask GC to sign back flap of envelope just to be sure in case they want sealed envelopes. Just a thought.
@FromMD: Thank you. That is exactly what I think. I was just reading the instructions for the evaluator for the Secondary School Report: “Seal the signed form, transcript, test scores, and school profile in an envelope. A school official’s signature must appear across the envelope seal for it to be accepted by the Commission”. I will contact the school Monday a.m.
Just in case anyone is wondering, I called the PS help number today and was told that they would accept envelopes without the signature, although it is not preferred, as long as the main app is submitted online.
I’m having trouble figuring out where to fit summer programs, anyone know? its not a school activity or a talent or anything
@staygold111 I was hoping you would do that. I am glad things worked out for you. I had my son’s signed today and mailed it for receipt tomorrow.
What percent of nominees do you guys think actually apply?
“How many really apply” is a really good question. D is applying but you would think many students will self-eliminate after looking at the essay requirements and the fact that no direct scholarship money is awarded
Anyone having trouble with the online application?
@kli586
What kind of online app problems you experienced?
@2562ivy Never mind, the issue has been resolved. thank you though!
When you log in, it says that the deadline has been “extended to Feb 27. Transcripts must be received by this date” . I’m terrified to wait to submit it tomorrow, but I still want time reviewing my essays and such. Help?
@songbird325. My son is submitting it by the original due date - tomorrow, the 26th. No sense prolonging it to Friday.
