if you get good at using the phone’s voice recognition system, even less time to send that many texts!

and yes, much bigger things to worry about.

Frenzy? Seriously? 60 is nothing. My dad sends probably a good 200/day.

I sent 15 within the first few minutes of being awake, all responding to texts I got while asleep.

How can anyone accomplish anything in their life while sending 100 texts a day is beyond me.

^ It’s really not hard…

Email is for formal communication, like offers of internships, or requests to professors.

What’s dead as a doornail is snail mail.

People are getting themselves somewhere they never planned to go. Sad.

God, I am a dinosaur. I like face to face communications.

Where barrons?

My 16-year-old borrowed his older brother’s phone. He assumed it had unlimited texting. He hit 2000 texts (sent and received) in six days, then found out the limit was 1000 texts per month. He had to pay $100 in overage charges!

I use <a href=“TxtDrop iPhone Free Text Messaging App”>TxtDrop iPhone Free Text Messaging App; to send text messages from my computer, since I hate typing out messages on a tiny keyboard.

I think my 21 y/o daughter texts me alone 60 times a day
I can’t imagine how many other texts she sends. Honestly, my sons don’t text anywhere near the amount that my daughter does.

James Madison, you should send more texts. Maybe you’d know that you should have said, "How anyone can accomplish anything in HIS OR HER life while sending 100 texts a day is beyond me.

The last time I had checked on anyones usage in our house I saw 7000 texts in a month on one of my kids phones…now that is ridiculous. I don’t think 60 a day is that bad but I don’t come close to texting even half of that. Our sons never texted that much except when they are in a more serious relationship with a young woman rather than just dating.

I agree with JamesMadison----I don’t know how anything gets done if your busy typing on that little keyboard.

Because with text, you spend less than ten seconds typing and hit send. If you wanted to get the same message to someone you would have to find them in your phone book, wait for them to answer, give them the message or leave a voicemail, and then hang up. That takes FAR longer than a 10 second text.

Trust me, texting is such a time saver.

More messages does not equal more or better communication. Often–the opposite.

@JamesMadison Texting can be used to accomplish.

My friend says her S and his GF avg. texting 40/hour. They attend the same h.s. It’s not like they don’t see each other often!

My sister is a texting maniac, I send maybe five texts every two days. I don’t get how some kids can do 7000 texts a month like someone above said. Even when I had a girlfriend I did maybe 2000 in one month at most. I think I’d go insane from having that much constant communication with people!

I send at least 3000 texts a month, with it getting higher in the summer. It’s just at lot easier than calling someone. Although, I will admit that something is lost by not hearing the other person’s voice.

Whatever - sometimes something is gained.

As I say,

cost of computer - $1000

internet - 50/month

never having to hear ex-husbands voice again, priceless

Without texting we wouldn’t have auto correct.
