LMAO and you guys can make nerdy little babies.

“If there were cities in space, [it] would provide alternatives…”

Was this a no error? I thought at first that “it” would be wrong because “cities” is plural but I put no error.

@carpdime I think it’s really fun. Plus it helps for school sooo much. I take Latin and only started last year, but because I know so many rules of grammar and usage I have been able to do well enough that I’m skipping ahead to AP Latin next year to complete the curriculum in 3 years instead of the standard 7 at my school. It also helps tremendously with English Class. I’m in AP Writing, so it has helped me to do well because our essays receive worse scores if there are more than just a few errors in grammar and usage.

@connieshi maybe we will ;P

delete it, after sentence 2, 29 was chimpanzees (illogical comparison)

Do you think it’s bad that in my essay I gave an example of Rose(from Joy Luck Club) relying on her husband? I think it was well-written; I’m just worried that the question referred to accepting values of “groups.” I used a single person; is that a big deal or no?

@carpidme LOL. I just notice them. Just being a grammar nazi in your own mind in real life when correcting others helps so much

What was the combined one? and I put NE for geese.

What was the drummers one? Was it “drummers… that of” or “a drummer… that of”?

@PencilxBoxes
I put the latter.

I don’t think “such people would defend such monstrosities” makes sense because not many people would defend something they think is a monstrosity.

@born2dance94 - 7 year Latin program? Even if compressed into 4 years, that’s a pretty huge commitment haha. I like the sound of that English class though. My grade-inflated public high school unfortunately does not give proper grammar in essays the recognition it deserves.

@141421356 - Heh, I’ve found that using proper grammar in a Facebook debate wins you mad amounts of credibility.

I thought it was “although classically beautiful”
And I don’t think it was “witnessing;” I put “after” because witnessing was too wordy.

In the “after” choice, it used the word “being” incorrectly. So it’s grammatically incorrect.

I don’t think it did
It said buildings were “being destroyed.”
But maybe I’m wrong…

I don’t know. Don’t remember very well. I just vaguely remember something about “being” in the After choice that made me switch it to Witnessing…

For one of the last questions in the 14 Q section; although or despite??

What was the answer to the chimpanzees question (and why)?

among or amongst?

@jonDrums- although
@MaizeCrazed- it was chimpanzees because he compared something (i forgot what specifically) to chimpanzees, which would be an illogical comparison

did you guys get no error for the one with honking of geesee flying or somethin liek that
