USABO Textbooks

Hello, I am studying for the USABO to take it next year. I know that the Campbell textbook is usually the suggested textbook. However, I happen to have another biology textbook at home that is collecting dust (Starr's Biology: Concepts & Applications, 7e). Apparently, it is most frequently used in Intro to Biology courses. Would it be ok to study from Starr and not Campbell? I don't want to spend about $120 or so buying the Campbell textbook (and Im not in AP Bio so dont have the text either). If I use Starr, I will also be supplementing it with Biology of Plants, and Molecular Biology of the Cell.

Thanks! -k
