<p>I know that the USABO is based off of Campbells, but which version is the best?
The website says the 8th edition, but my school uses the 7th edition.</p>
<p>I want to start studying this summer and want to know which version will better prepare me for the USABO. But I also want a book I can use in school, since I'm taking AP Bio next year.</p>
<p>What do u guys think?</p>
<p>btw, the 9th edition is too expensive so its between 7th and 8th</p>

<p>7th edition is fine for the USABO. Honestly, there is not a significant difference in material that will impact your USABO studying between the 7th and 8th editions.</p>
<p>My friend used Campbell and Reese 8th edition and he’s headed to Purdue this summer as a finalist for USABO, but our school uses the 5th (or maybe 6th…), and he found that to be obsolete. (and in AP Bio, he passed with flying colors, only using the 8th, so I’m sure that would help in your AP Bio class as well)</p>

<p>I don’t think there is any school using 5th ver now ( or even 6th).</p>
