<p>This semester I will most likely get either a 4.2 or 4.0 GPA. My weighted accumulative GPA without this semester is 3.9333 (unweighted 3.2) and I rank 53 out of 707 students. For my freshman year I took all three honors classes, was on frosh volleyball, I was also a cadet for our schools AFJROTC program and that year I received a 4.0 GPA both semesters.
My sophomore year, I became an officer in afjrotc and promoted to captain before the program ended that year. While in the afjrotc program I received three national awards, a "most likely to become a four star general" award, a dress and appearance award, and numerous ribbons in recognition of academic, leadership, and athletic acheivememts. That previous year I was also crowned "lady" at the military ball and my sophomore year I also received a schoolwide award for scholar athlete and student of the
month, as well as cadet of the month for AFJROTC. During my sophomore year I also participated on the JV volleyball team and took all four honors classes in which I received a 3.6 the first semester and a 4.0 the second semester. I also had an officer position as event coordinator for the red cross club at my school in which I am currently the president (next year's potential president). I was also inducted into the national honor society and I'm currently within my first year (by the time I graduate I will have a total of two years).
As a junior I am a new cadet in the Civil Air Patrol Air Force Auxiliary, I"m a link crew leader ( which) assists with the incoming freshman class and I'm also taking AP biology and two other honors classes. I have been recently nominated for a schoolwide community service award and total I have about 150 to 200 community service hours (and still counting). I'm also within the top percent of my class and I'm planning on taking AP physics, AP government, and AP literature next year.</p>
<p>Wrong forum you’re in, may I direct you to the service academy sub forums? [U.S</a>. Service Academies - College Confidential](<a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/u-s-service-academies/]U.S”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/u-s-service-academies/)</p>
<p>You sound to be on the right track. Did you apply for summer seminar? We can’t tell you what chances you have at ANY service academy because SO MANY FACTORS GO INTO IT. For one, if you get a nomination, it’s about who you’re in competition with on your member of congress’ slate. If you’re the best out of that slate, you get the appointment. If not, you may get chosen from the national waitlist but even then no one can tell you what your chances are at all. The best anyone can do is give you some guidance and tell you if you’re on the right track or not. Remember that you’re aiming to be an OFFICER IN THE MILITARY not just a “student at one of the academies”.</p>
<p>Good luck. And yeah, wrong forum to post this in xD</p>
