Ok so I applied for the Town and Gown Scholarship for USC, and was selected to interview for it. I know that if you're given the chance to interview for the scholarship, it doesn't mean that you're admitted to USC. My question is though, does it mean you have a likely chance of being accepted to USC? Because the way I see it, why would Town and Gown interview people who aren't likely of being accepted to USC, right? I'm probably wrong about this theory, but it doesn't hurt to ask haha.

The two are unrelated, but T&G saw something special that hopefully admissions will also see. In our (very) limited experience, the T&G interviewees were admitted and received a nice scholarship. Good luck!

Ok I’m about to die of anxiety! I didn’t receive the scholarships but I’m still waiting to hear the admission decision… They told me I’d be hearing from them late february to mid march… What does this mean? I’ve been stalking the mailbox ! has anyone heard back?

We’ve all been told late March…hang in there!

As mentioned in a few other threads, last year the decision letters were postmarked March 22, 2011. No guarantees for this year, but a reasonable expectation.

Anybody gotten anything? I heard the letters are sent in waves and that if you dont get anything in march that means you didn’t get in… that rejection letters are sent april 1 any truth to that?

The USC Admissions website indicates that all letters will be sent via mail on March 27th!

Yay! Is that the day we’ll receive or just when they mail them?

The day they will MAIL them out. They are going out all over the place, so it would be very difficult (impossible?) to give one date that they would arrive. If the mailing follows other mailings, they will arrive in LA first, followed by other areas in CA the following day. Then, they arrive across the US soon after. Good luck!!

If you didnt apply for a scholarship are you admission chances lowered??

@thestates No.

any idea when it ll reach outside the US???
