<p>even if it is a sign, the vast majority of us will not have it. i would recommend not to be too hopeful so if the bad news comes, for the second time, it won’t be that bad of a blow.

<p>Sorry I did not mean to get everyone so worked up. I heard that the box was a rumor, not that it was true or totally a fact. I think it would just make sense for that to be the indicator. I am just assuming it is because of what I have read on previous appeal threads.</p>
<p>was looking at transfer thread and people who didn’t have that the box still were admitted without it being there. do not think that just because it’s not there you’re not in!</p>
<p>I didn’t have the boxes and I just received my rejection email honesty surprised and very disappointed.</p>
<p>Getting off that topic, has anyone actually received anything yet?</p>

<p>I know this won’t make you feel better but I think ucsb is a fine school. I know many intelligent (high gpas) people going there :)</p>
