Admits come out first then a letter to everyone else letting them know their appeal was not successful… It is not in waves because it is not big enough for a wave. Last year they stated receiving over 1000 appeals and accepting less than 20.
Appeals are not because a B went to an A - they are granted to dramatic circumstances that were unknown in the original application.
Congrats @MortemHaedo ! Wow, you totally beat the odds, go out and buy a lottery ticket next! Such great news for you and so nice of you to share. I would love to see your letter - I have had 4 accepted to USC but always try to keep up on things and confirm what I think I know (ha) - if you don’t mind PMing.
You will love it - let me know if you have any questions and welcome to the Trojan Family!!!
@CADREAMIN Thank you very much for the compliment!
I totally understand the purpose of an appeal. I did not disclose some unfortunate events that happened in my life. What I was trying to say is that compared to what happened in her life, events that happened in mine could be taken with a grain of salt which is why I feel so silly after reading her essay
Oh sorry @Becausethety I was addressing about 4 different posts in one email and it sorta ran together - that next line was for someone else way back there. I totally got what you were saying.
The appeal process is tough on here because statistically, that may be the only one on here that we see since obviously not everyone is on CC. Wish you luck!!!
Btw, I am the person on Reddit who posted they got in today. I got in for Biomedical Engineering for the Fall term. I received an email from Aaron Brown and my portal has updated allowing me to view admitted student options. Good luck to everyone still waiting!!!
Rejected oh well it just wasn’t meant to be yet. I might try to transfer next year. I’m just really scared now because reality is sinking in that I’m going to Florida, which is so far (I live in Washington state). Literally opposite sides of the country
@Becausethety Your incredibly sincere comment makes me cry… I do not share that part of my life with others, and I am sure you also have difficulties that cannot be compared to. Thank you very much for your heartfelt congratulations- I am certain you are more than an incredibly qualified person and will succeed no matter what happens in the future. I hope we can meet one day and share our successes.
@CADREAMIN Thank you for your congratulations as well! I’m still shocked- I was planning on attending my state’s college (which I would also be happy with) and staying in a stressful waitlist limbo… this the best thing that has happened in a while! I will definitely message you many questions and my appeal letter Right now, I don’t have enough posts to send new messages, so if you could send me one first I would really appreciate that.
I am humbled and hope everybody here has an enriching, unforgettable college experience.
