@caliboundplz2022 Thank you so much They updated my admission decision status with the new acceptance document, and surprisingly, I got into the fall semester!
In my appeal, I updated some stuff (National Merit Finalist and how I continued two of my main club activities- no state or national awards though). The bulk of my appeal talked about some family issues I’ve had the past few years and how I’ve taken a few jobs to deal with the resulting financial strains on my family. I didn’t discuss most of it in my original application. In general, I’m so shocked and appreciative that USC cared more about understanding who I am as a person than good grades or prestigious awards.
If there’s some way to private message, I’d be willing to send you my appeal letter! It’s pretty embarrassing though haha

Did anyone else except @MortemHaedo hear back? Nobody that I personally know has heard back yet. As @Zoe528 said, hopefully, they come out in waves. Good luck to everyone on here! Being an appeale myself and USC being my dream school, I know how hard the wait/anticipation truly is. I hope it’s all worth it in the end and we’ll be able to see each other next year at USC!!!
“No news is not likely good news…” I hate to be pessimistic but I’m gonna go ahead and say screw it, I didn’t get in. RIP the SCA dream I guess

I think it should be by waves because otherwise they should have ideally sent emails to everybody, regardless of if their appeal worked or not. I hope everybody hears great news soon!

Our son won a major national scholarship after application but not holding our breath for appeal. Weird that stuff is coming out now. Does anyone think that the admits will come down first and the declines will come after? Like people getting their packets before the portal says rejected to the others. Our son was offered TTP but would rather not go somewhere else for a year.
Does anyone think there is a difference in admission based on chosen major?
Hello everyone, I just read @MortemHaedo 's letter and I will be the first to admit compared to what happened happened in her life, I feel silly submitting an appeal. If I am indeed rejected, I will no longer have hard feelings with USC considering the person they took over me. As I myself would have taken her over me. To @MortemHaedo , hopefully I get in too. But you deserve the acceptance and I wish you the best for the next 4 years. You’re gonna rock it.
