USC Architecture School

<p>The USC School of Architecture is celebrating 100 years. The dean of the school is Qingyun Ma who was recently selected as one of thirty “Most Admired U.S. Educators”. Two alumni of the school are Pritzer Prize laureates, architecture’s highest honor.</p>

<p>Degrees at the school include study of architecture, landscape architecture, building science and heritage conservation. The school of architecture holds the position of conserving two of California’s historic landmarks, the Greene & Greene Gamble House and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Freeman House. </p>

<p>Noted alumni include Emmett Wemple, William Pereira, Jon Jerde, Mark Rios, Ron Alton and Gerard Furbershaw.</p>

<p>Graduates have designed some of the area’s most distinctive buildings.</p>

<p>The two Pritzer Prize laureates are Frank Gehry and Thom Payne. </p>

<p>Some of the buildings designed by architecture graduates are: Disney Concert Hall, St. Basil’s Catholic Church, Los Angeles City Hall and the Cedars Sinai Medical Center.</p>
