Thanks @RALdad Interesting ratio…wonder how that happened? Less than 4% admission to the BFA…pretty cool that your son made it. How did you feel about the program? Did you meet the new dean?

We actually met him at the Open House in April before he was interim dean. He sat at our table for lunch and was very personable. He made my son feel at ease and got him talking about his interests. In fact, his attitude influence my son’s final decision to attend USC. After meeting him back in April one-on-one and hearing his prepared comments to the parents and kids on Move In Day, I hope he gets the permanent appointment if he wants it. He said he would hold the interim role for 12-18 months while a national search takes place. By USC policy they conduct national searches for all Dean positions.

Today was the first day of classes. He seems very happy with the program and his first 6 days as a Trojan. Has already bonded with several classmates.
