@jj1999 I am not sure where you are but per the map there are some areas of SoCal that have a 2 day window. Have you zoomed in on the map. It shows the beginning of the zip codes. https://www.usps.com/priority-mail/map/
Meh…I live in Socal…no package, no letter. I have strong stat’s but now have a bad feeling. Although I will say, my mail today was unusually light (only one letter and it’s always a bundle)
Don’t give up all hope if you do not receive anything on the day you expected something based on the USPS zones. We live in the NorCal Bay Area (Zone 2), and last year my son’s acceptance package did not arrive on Saturday, even though several of his high school classmates received theirs on Saturday. My son’s package ended up arriving on Monday.
Can someone explain why the middle of tennessee and Kentucky are in the 2 day zone, yet Oregon is in the 3day zone??
Also, there is a tiny little spot of Wyoming that is in the 2day zone…
@LaserFocus - thank you for the re-assurance. Still have that sinking feeling. It’s been a tough week of two other rejections but I have options. Made a strong bid for USC with a very good recommendation from a department chair.
My guess is that is has to do with where there are the most priority postal routes, which would be major metropolitical areas (which would explain the 2-Day spots around capitols, like the spot around St. Paul, MN).
I live in SoCal and still haven’t receive anything yet. But I’m still hopeful that I’ll get into USC. My stats aren’t anything spectacular (4.2 gpa/ 1280 sat) and I really didn’t do much extracurricular but I’m sure my portfolio will pull through (I applied to SCA for animation) :’))
SgtFriar2015 Don’t stress too much. If I remember correctly you’re in Tustin and I know 5-6 kids that didn’t get anything. A couple of those had phenomenal stats and I can’t see them being passed over. I don’t think our area received the acceptances today. I think tomorrow is the day. Good luck!
So I created an informed delivery account with USPS 3/23 just for the heck of it… just logged onto it and actually see a package from USC to be delivered. Doesn’t say delivery date but clearly says it is from USC. We live in NJ. Not mentioning anything to my son. Seems too good to be true!!
@rohael I’ve applied to School of Architecture
is it a package or a mailpiece? @daisym09
Just read in a news article the admitted group has 85 sets of twins,
It’s under package category and it clearly states it is from USC. When I click on the link it says that it arrived at LA distribution at 6:30 pm 3/23 which seems odd. It also has what appears to be a tracking number and is insured as well. Very weird…
Does anyone know if the admissions staff hand delivered any packets this year?
@daisym09 thats awesome! congratulations!
@“WVOR357$” depends on the zip …for e.g. 97229 is 2 day with priority express
@Pdxuser1 Our zip code is 97229!
@introtoxx Thanks. Can’t wait to see smile on son’s face! I think it’s interesting that it was received at LA USPS at 6:30pm on 3/23 instead of 3/22. This could be reassuring to people who hoped for a delivery on 3/23.
I GOT INTO USC TODAY FOR SCA PRODUCTION!!! I GOT THE WHITE BOX!
