Anxiously waiting to hear how D’s school did with acceptances. D pulled her SC application after going ED somewhere else but there are a lot of similarly qualified students at her school who applied.

@eliner The 8,000 that got in could not track acceptance packages. The only ones that could see it on USPS are the ones that are getting rejections (letter shows up) so I would assume that to be your case. Anyone that gets in is happy. Only one or two people whose package was sent on it’s own knew it was coming. Thousands of others did not have it.
Is it worth sending an appeal? A lot of kids in my school got accepted and a lot of them didn’t even treat SC as their top choice, which pisses me off.

@jj1999 you got a transfer plan which is a lot better than the thousands who are getting flat out rejected. stop worrying now! be grateful and excited
@polololo I know I got the transfer plan, but I still want to go to SC as quickly as I can. A lot of ppl at my school are turning down USC and they have turned it down before even applying, yet they wasted a lot of spots.
@jj1999 I mean tbh I did that for some schools just bc I wanted them as safeties. I’m sure that’s what they did too
Accepted from the Bay Area in CA. But will attend UCLA! Congrats to all!
Officially denied in SoCal. Rejection letters came a day late. Denied with a 35 ACT, 4.7 weighed and plenty of extracurriculars. Wasn’t one of my top choices, so I’m glad I didn’t take the spot of someone who really wants to go. May be heading to UCLA next year so the rivalry begins…
USC isn’t a safety for anyone, no matter what though.
@jj1999 true but they probably applied as an alternative to like ivies. Idk though but I get what you’re saying! It’s disheartening for sure

Same person told me they couldn’t be tracked and had me confused but it did show up today and my son was accepted. Can’t believe everything you read on the internet or at least know that there may always be an exception.
