Did a lot of SoCal people receive rejection letter? I didn’t receive any box of any color, nor the rejection letter. What could be my outcome?
@shafthalf same here im waiting for the portal
@beantownschool I guess it could work that way too. Yes I have other acceptances, USC is just my top choice and I’d put everything I had into this school.
does the portal update at midnight cali time i’m assuming? I’m east coast so really not trying to stay up until 3 am… I was accepted with a little below average stats, but great ECs and essays. Dad recently lost his well paying job so i think the affordability will be a huge issue. really hope i can end up attending.
@Drummerdad1 all three of you reported that you could track the packages are Thornton applicants. I’m not sure it was a coincidence or not.
@cpl1969 wait why do you need to stay up if you have gotten accepted? congrats btw!
So we can’t track packages?
Yeah I think many people dont go to USC even if they get in because they cant afford it. And honestly if I get accepted I will be kinda sad that someone who could afford it could get in. But i won’t go because I got into a better school (my stats are crap) but i would not be able to go bc its far from home and it costs wayyyyy too much i would rather go to SJSU or SDSU
Do people in the arts colleges usually get grants based on talent?
where can i find the zone map???
I’m in SoCal and got a rejection letter (hour north of San Diego)
Is there a facebook page for accepted students?
@candylover132 please explain to me then how 69% of people accepted were nonwhite. Also, I don’t know if i was rejected or not yet I never received a letter and it says nothing on my informed mail
Accepted to USC Viterbi in Bronx,NY.
Anyone from FL?
@valleybound I honestly don’t know maybe more nonwhite ppl applied than white ppl. oh sorry I didn’t mean to be mean ahah and i dont have anything on informed delivery either
Denied by Marshall in SoCal.

@pdxtigermom Yes, you nailed it. Thorton has its own admission process which I would think the Thorton applicants would be aware of. You are obviously on it. They are the only ones that were tracked because they are sent out separately from the 60,000+ other regular admissions that could not be tracked. On here it was two people of the thousands of posts that said they could see it. A couple posts just stirred it up for hundreds on here and these kids were confused all day playing with usps and getting stressed about packages that could not be tracked. Anyone could call USC admissions and they would tell you they cannot be tracked and many many posters said that.
TC5300 what are his stats and major?USC Viterbi is my son’s dream school.
Received an official rejection letter today (OC, CA)
• 3.9 UW GPA, 4.5 W GPA, & 1350 SAT
• 4 year choir member, Best Buddies, Impact (mentoring program), ocean cleanup club
• Legacy (even had relative write a letter to the school on my behalf)
• Business Major
USC was definitely a reach for me but still disappointed
This is not a reflection on USC as I still find them to be a highly respectable school but it seems as though many of my safety and target schools are rejecting overqualified students in hopes of having a higher ratio of enrolled to accepted students ($$$). It’s upsetting to me that I have pretty decent stats and am getting rejected from practically every school I apply to. Anyone else experiencing anything similar?
