USC Class of 2022

I’ve heard Usc rejects 3k with sat at 99percentile. Does anyone know how many with 99percentile applied to Usc?

Can anyone explain in what situations spring admit is awarded? What type of cases?

@squirly7 see post 1787. Should be second day.
@WWWard chugging already.
@North88 google usc freshman profile.

@squirly7 Type 90007 in the zip code and you’ll get a delivery time map https://www.usps.com/priority-mail/map/

@NightAtTheRox when the applicant’s stats are low the college will offer a spring admission so they don’t have to count that applicant’s GPA/SAT into their class averages

Oh really??

usc admissions posted on instagram that decisions will be mailed march 22 and the portal will be updated on march 25!

@NightAtTheRox Contrary to rumors, spring admits do not have lower stats. Neither do students that get offered TTP. TTP are not all legacy either (another rumor). Both of these groups can have students with 4.6 and 34 ACTs with all the other goodies they need. Or they may have lower stats, just like the people accepted in the fall. Perhaps they applied to a very popular major and they just don’t have the room in the fall, but expect movement and changes in the fall to make space in that school and that major. What those students are offering they already have enough of at this point in time, but they are still very desirable students to have which is why they get the offer. There just isn’t enough room.

With more than 65,000 applications and 3,000 students rejected with scores and grades in the 99th percentile, to say that spring or TTP students have lower stats is just not accurate in any regard.

@collegeplz1234 Might want to read the last 5 pages or so, there’s lots of info there.

I dont even think i have a chance at spring admission…

@Coopy1 You’re welcome

And to everyone checking in now and posting questions… you may want to first read at least the last three pages of this thread before asking, as everything gets asked and answered in repetition…

Yes, @cadreamin Chug, chug…

Hi! I’m a Canadian student and I applied before Dec 1. Will more scholarships be given out on March 25 or just admission decisions? How long does it take to get the USC package from LA to Vancouver?

The big scholarships (with interviews) were given out in January. Those were 1/2 tuition to full. There are some Deans (1/4 tuition) that are usually given in March and perhaps some small departmental (couple to few thousand). But the majority were done earlier. Likely 3 days to Vancouver, portal will update on Saturday night/Sunday morning.

When do you think the portal will update with information on the merit scholarship decisions? I am literally restless while I wait to find out the fate of my possible presidential scholarship. Last year they heard around this time, so I’m on edge…

Read post 1787 for details.

I’m trying to figure out if I can get the package on sunday. When I search online, I find that “Postal Service currently delivers Priority Mail Express and certain Amazon packages on Sundays”. Oregon is day 3, and I go out of town Sunday night/Monday morning. I would hope I can get the package instead of having to do the dreadful portal check. Anyone know if they come on sundays?

I am pretty sure they wont- only Amazon is delivered USPS on Sundays

If you currently get mail on Sundays, then yes. If not, no.

I was just rejected from UCLA so now I’m really scared about USC. I have a 4.6 W, 3.9 UW, 1310 SAT, great extracurriculars, really strong letters of rec, and I thought my personal statements were strong too. Not sure how to feel right now. At first I was shocked that I didn’t get into UCLA but they only had a 5.3% acceptance rate so that made me feel a little better. Honestly, do you think I have any shot at USC. I’m low socioeconomic, first gen if that counts as anything.

The acceptance rate at UCLA is around 15% with engineering around 11% with CS less than that. I think the 5.3% is from something else. What major did you apply to?
