this is so true!! usc looks for kids that will thrive at usc unlike other school such as duke that just looks for smart kids. usc has always been pretty open about what they want. they want passion, creativity, leaders, not perfect stats

Yes⦠there is no doubt some social engineering or pure guess work is at play with admissions involving the most stellar applicants. Too many simply face rejection due to the preconceived notion that they are more likely to attend elsewhere. And if they failed to truly convince USC that it is their top choice and by far, such is the unfortunate fate for too many.
