Hey! I found out that I got into the University of Southern California a few weeks ago, and am now looking into some housing options. I was just wondering if anyone has had any personal experience with the 6 or 8 person dorm suites? Was it cliquey, or did everything go smoothly for the most part? Would anyone recommend or advise against them? All feedback's appreciated. Thanks!

Congrats! & Welcome to the Trojan Family, yadda yadda. =P

I’m finishing up my freshman year here and I live in an 8-person suite in Parkside.

It’s, err, interesting living with 7 other people, to say the least. We’ve had a little bit of drama in our suite regarding noise levels past midnight and people leaving their stuff everywhere. But other than that, it’s pretty awesome. It’s nice to have a bathroom shared with 3 other people rather than an entire hallway. It gets cleaned regularly, too. And I am friends with like half the girls in my suite. We hang out and it’s good times. I’d recommend it, especially if it’s Parkside A&H or IRC, because they’re really nice dorms. I feel sorry for the kids in New/North sometimes because to me it just doesn’t seem like a pleasant living environment. I feel like I’m in the right place for me. Look at the housing packet and look at all the features that go with each dorm. Then pick the one that sounds the best for you overall.
