usc engineering admission....anyone?

<p>i got an email from viterbi school of engineering on may 31st about my application status...supposedly anyone who submitted the viterbi supplemental application was told that they would notify their applicants about their admission status by april 1st...and im not quite sure if that means i got accepted..heres what they sent me...</p>

<p>" Greetings from the USC Viterbi School of Engineering! Once again, we’d like to thank you for completing the Viterbi Supplemental Transfer Application. This online form allows the Viterbi School to expedite the admission review process, and as a result we are able to inform you of your admission status before June 1st.</p>

<p>As you know, many admission professionals across the University are involved in the review of each and every application. I am pleased to report that the USC Viterbi School has completed our initial review of your application, and we are recommending you for admission as a transfer student for Fall 2008. The USC Office of Admission is still reviewing transfer applications, so your admission decision has not yet been finalized. Once the Office of Admission completes their review of your application, they will issue a formal admission decision. Your admission status will not become finalized until you receive an offer of admission from USC in the mail.</p>

<p>Over the next few weeks, USC will be working on finalizing your admission decision. On occasion, we may need additional information from you or official documentation of your academic history. <p>hey gudji, I got the same email as you did, and I'm not sure what to make of it. It seems favorable, but until I get an acceptance package in the mail, I'm going to stay a little skeptical. Btw, would you mind posting your stats gudji just so I can see where people who got this email stand?</p>

<p>From what I have seen in other threads, a couple other engineers got the same email that you and I got, but no one has gotten any packages yet. I think we still have to wait a couple more weeks (earliest mid-April) before we get any official decisions. So congrats on making it this far, and good luck with the waiting game over the next few weeks.</p>

i've got a 3.80 so far...mechanical or aerospace engineering....how about u?</p>

<p>I got the same e-mail, check the giant USC transfer thread up top. Overall stats very close to RelientK's, and I'm also keeping my fingers crossed. Until the acceptance packet arrives, nothing is for sure.</p>

<p>gudji- That is great news. Although the school (USC) still has to accept you, I can't imagine 'recommending you for admission' means anything less than it says. Good luck!</p>
