Can anyone tell me about the Explore program? We are trying to decide f it is worth a trip to attend? Is it a large group event or individual? Is the parent program worth attending?
We attended USC Explore for admitted students for our son for Marshall school of business yesterday. It is grouped by the school your son/daughter was admitted, first 50 minutes of the program was with all parents & kids from all majors & then the next two hours were with the group only to your specific majors. Parents can ask questions at this time. At Lunch, you get to sit with faculty members of your school (Marshall, Viterbi, Roski, etc) & then its free from there, you can attend the campus tour, neighborhood tour, attend student panel or financial aid sessions. We had not visited the campus so this was the campus visit for us before deciding to pay deposit. We flew in the morning at 8am but had to rush to catch 6pm flight as we were told traffic is bad to LAX but we were fine. We could not attend lot of program due to timing conflict. I saw lot of kids there without parents but many were local Califonians.Hope this helps.
Very helpful, thank you!
We just got to USC - at the Radisson as I write…going to Explore tomorrow. Daughter has explored USC probably 47 times having two siblings here, but I think it is good to see from the eyes of an admitted student even if she already did commit. @Belashah - thanks for the detailed info, we have the agenda from the site, but I wondered when we split up versus stayed together. She is going to double major within Dornsife, I am hoping we can talk to folks at both majors. Appreciate your helpful info!!!
So are you paying deposit? My oldest graduated from Marshall/Leventhal (moved into acctg junior year). His connections are amazing, resulting in a solid career path going forward. Really happy with what he got out of Marshall.
We committed. He is going to explore LA & thru WBB Program, will go to Hong Kong & Milan to study
